Abstract: On the 70th anniversary of the founding of the landscape architecture discipline, the author briefly reviews the process of establishment and development of the discipline from his personal experience respectively as a student, an educator and a designer at various stages of life, and points out the basic theories, skills and core objective of the discipline education. He underscores the importance of carrying on discipline construction with gratitude to The Communist Party of China for nourishing the landscape architecture discipline in the new era of the centenary of the Party founding and taking concrete actions to implement the vision of a community with a shared future for mankind.
