Research on Children Playground of Natural Style in Urban Outdoor Space Base on Landscape Perception

Children like playing in the nature, outdoor play in natural space is a significant part of children’s life. Considering the deficiency of urban outdoor playground and the isolation from nature, the paper follows a questionnaire based on landscape perception and statistic analysis, thus quantify the preference difference between adults and children, as well as the cognition degree of functionality, and aesthetics about the natural style children playground. Combining the on-site investigation in central urban area of Chengdu, it raises the current situation and strategy of children playground in the urban outdoor space. The research findings can offer evidence for further development of children’s playground in China, which leads to a renewal of natural outdoor playground and to meet the nature-loving demand for children.
