Construction of Regional Green Infrastructure Based on MSPA—Case Study on Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou Area

  • Regional green infrastructure is widely regarded as an effective way to maintain the regional ecological security. Its construction approaches are important to its function implementation. MSPA (Morphological Spatial Pattern Analysis), as a new method, with advantages of better fitness for analysis and planning and fewer data demand, becomes a hotspot for regional green infrastructure construction. This research built a framework of regional green infrastructure by MSPA under its theoretical basis, including extracting green infrastructure elements, evaluating landscape connection degree of green infrastructure elements and formatting the classified network combined with ENVI, GIS. Finally MSPA was used to construct green infrastructure in Suzhou-Wuxi-Changzhou area.
