Evaluation of Supply and Demand of Green Space Ecosystem Service Function in Chengdu-Chongqing Urban Agglomeration Based on Multi-source Data

  • With the gradual shift of urban planning to land space planning, it has become an important premise for planning and decision-making to accurately grasp the service characteristics of green space in urban agglomerations on a macro scale. Based on multi-source data, this research applies the water balance equation, soil loss equation and INVEST model to identify the green space ecosystem service functions of urban agglomeration, and uses Z-Score standardization to evaluate the spatial-temporal evolution law of supply-demand balance matching of ecosystem service functions. The results show that: 1) The overall supply and demand of water conservation services have been improved in the Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration. The quantity of water and soil conservation service is increased while the demand is reduced. The biodiversity maintenance service supply decreases, while the demand region shifts from the southern mountain region to the inner mountain region of the urban agglomeration. 2) The overall demand for water conservation service is greater than the supply, and the space matching between the supply and demand is seriously uneven. The supply of water and soil conservation service is larger than the demand, and the space of supply and demand is basically matched. The space of supply and demand of biodiversity maintenance services is basically matched, and the peripheral areas of urban agglomeration are significantly better than the central areas. Accordingly, this research discusses and proposes four types of Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration unit cities, and puts forward planning strategies based on its urban development status and ecosystem service state, providing a scientific basis for the development planning of Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration.
