Historical Park Renewal Strategies Based on Heritage Value Assessment

  • Historical parks have become important parts of urban renewal. However, due to their unique heritage protection features, they have brought many problems and challenges to park renewal. By sorting out the existing studies on the evaluation and application of heritage values at home and abroad, this research optimizes the current evaluation models of heritage values of historical parks, and divides them into two parts: value evaluation and live transformation evaluation, which is carried out at the levels of the whole parks and park elements. It also discusses the ways and ideas of heritage value assessment in the park renewal process, and based on the assessment results, puts forward the macro renewal strategy from the urban perspective and the micro renewal strategy from the park’s internal perspective.
