Abstract
The theory of optimal value life community is based on the concept of life community, and inspired and supported by ecology, landscape architecture, system science and other disciplines, which can provide a specific practical idea and clear work goal for the current ecological protection, restoration and construction. A “life community” is essentially a relatively stable life system formed by the interaction of various constituent elements(including both natural and human elements) under relatively stable natural environment conditions in a specific area, in which all elements rely on, complement, share weal and woe with and even live on each other. If a life community can, after long-term natural recovery or accelerated recovery through appropriate artificial ecological restoration, migrate from the existing ecological range to the high-value ecological range to meet the needs of biodiversity while achieving high ecological value and natural capital, then it can be called “high-value life community”. If a high-value life community can, through giving full play to the positive role of design in the pursuit of aesthetics and artistic conception and optimizing the allocation of ecological resources, seek and identify the optimal value point to meet people's needs for a better life in the high-value ecological range, and finally achieve the harmonious coexistence between man and nature, then it can be called “the optimal value life community”.The planning, design and construction of the optimal value life community can be realized through the “fourplanning collaboration” green planning method, “three steps and ten methods” green design method and “twothree-four-eight” green construction method.
