Abstract

Wang Juyuan is the founder of landscape architecture in New China, the founder of landscape education at Beijing Forestry University, and the first academician of the Chinese Academy of Landscape Architecture. He is rigorous in his studies and strives for perfection, and has made outstanding contributions to the discipline construction, theoretical research and industry development of Chinese landscape architecture.This article takes academic events as the main line, sorts out Wang Juyuan's academic history; and introduces Wang Juyuan's academic thought from four aspects:the establishment and improvement of disciplinary theory,the foundation and culmination of gardening history theory, the development and consolidation of ornamental gardening, and the exploration and development of urban greening.
