Analysis of Publicity of Lingnan Municipal Landscape in Tang and Song Dynasties

  • Located in Lingnan area, Huizhou West Lake, Chaozhou West Lake, Leizhou West Lake, Zhaoqing Star Lake, Nanning South Lake, and Guilin West Lake and Guilin Rongshan Lake are all landscape architecture based on urban patterns and landscape scales. They are largely associated with the development of local cities. As they mainly originated in the Tang and Song dynasties, Mr Liu Guanping summarized them into Lingnan Municipal Landscape. From the perspective of publicity, the landscape is analyzed mainly on the basis of governance and usage, which reveals four characteristics in Tang and Song dynasties. The paper concludes that the public landscape existed as “classical public gardens”
