Heart of Woods and Streams: Gently Integrating Design into Nature—Thoughts on Planning and Design of the 12th China (Nanning) International Garden Expo Park

This paper reviews the whole process of the planning, design and construction management of Nanning Garden Expo Park, suggesting to put aside all original creative impulses when dealing with large, complex projects, cultivate feelings with the sites in a heart of woods and streams, so as to protect the green waters and hills. It adopts the one-to-one general contracting and field design modes to coordinate multi-specialty teams to construct the design system to make the whole design natural and interesting, and therefore create a comprehensive landscape of both natural environments and aesthetic artistic conception.
