Abstract

Song Dynasty garden is important to the development of Chinese ancient garden. There are still many crucial and valuable problems to be discussed. Since remains of Song Dynasty garden is rare and the literature material is not systematic, the historical value of Song Dynasty painting is highly appreciated. This paper takes TaoYuanming guiyin, Guiqulaici and Xisaiyushe as examples, pointing out their crucial historical value for the research on garden history, and pushing forward the cognition of Chinese ancient garden origin and development .
